Iowa Meat Farms is a great place to get the highest quality premium meats, wines, beers, and other gourmet food items. The selection is broad, the quality is second to none, and the people are friendly and accommodating. The funny thing is, I usually just buy one of the cheapest products in the store. It's a specialty food product that almost no one else carries, but Iowa Meat Farms has it.

Concentrated grocery specializing in high-end chef-quality items, wines, beers, oils, jarred sauces and MEATS. Emphasis on MEATS. Where else can you get giant smoked turkey legs? Frogs' legs? Goose livers? Seasoned and dry-aged beef? If you want that very particular cut of whatever, they'll likely have it on hand or if in the rare instance they don't they can get it for you in short order. A San Diego institution. 4 stars for their prices as sometimes prices are over-market by a lot. For example, I can get a very good organic, [truly] free-range turkey for $3.49/lb. Theirs runs $5.99/lb. Unless that turkey is massaged every day (like Miyazaki Wagyu Beef), $6/lb. doesn't seem reasonable. Just my take.

This is a higher end butcher shop. Youre not going to find bargain meat here. What you will find is some great cuts of meat and also great advice on grilling, marinades, etc. A few items I saw here that you don't usually see at a grocery store or Costco. Tomahawk Ribeyes Beef Plate Ribs (Dino Ribs) Stuffed tenderloin Multiple hand made sausages Massive selection of rubs, marinades and finishing salts. Large selection of Craft Beers I can't shop here all the time, but its a great place for that special cut or a mini at home celebration dinner. Overall I am pleased.

I bought 4 prime ribeyes at $42per lb and they were poor quality. It was like cooking steak from Walmart. Medium rare and chewy. I’ve been cooking steaks for a long time. I won’t be back.

Super good local butcher. The prices are quite high, but the quality of the meat is seriously good. If you're having a BBQ and looking to impress, this is where you should get your meat.
